We Need Jesus
This week’s focus is a difficult one. We have challenged ourselves to acknowledge God’s presence in every moment of our lives and live in a way that glorifies Him. We usually begin to realize just how far we have missed the mark. If we were to pause and look back at the last couple of days, we would recognize we didn’t even come close to our goal. If you have made God part of every moment of your life, I celebrate with you. If you haven’t, don’t let this stop you from reaching for this challenge daily. Christ came and died on the cross because God knew we could not love Him perfectly. However, it only partially lets us off the hook. Paul addresses this in Romans 6:1-12. When we place our faith in Jesus, we are invited to let Christ cover our sins, and we are asked to live as we were created in relationship with our Father and creator God. When we are baptized, we die to sin and are raised to new life in Christ. So, take a moment to dig into the beauty of Christ’s forgiveness and how he calls you to walk with Him.
Pause and Pray
Spend time reading Romans 6:1-12. Note the answer Paul gives about continuing to sin. How does it impact you today as you try to draw closer to the Lord?
Walk in the Kingdom
What sin will you turn from today to follow Jesus more fully every moment?
